THE ORRC MILE IS BACK!
Originally listed for Thursday, June 27th, the date has been changed to Friday, June 28th. After a 14-year hiatus, the “ORRC Mile” track event returns to the ORRC Calendar. To be held at Hare Field in Hillsboro, this event features several heats of the classic mile distance and also includes an elite mile race for both the open and masters runners, a race walkers mile, and a pacer’s mile (where you predict your time and the winner is the closest to their predicted time). Events start with the “specialized quarter-mile” for athletes with special needs, and a kids quarter mile.
The evening culminates with a “devil takes the hindmost”, a classic 2-mile run for those who think they can outrun the devil. The devil take the hindmost is also open to everyone, but beware, the “Devil” lurks on each lap and will “Tag” you out if you are last. Can you survive? Registration is now open at https://www.signmeup.com/site/online-event-registration/92390.

KIDS' PASSPORT PROGRAM
ORRC is excited about encouraging kids to get out and participate with their parents at ORRC events. Kids who participate in any event that includes a free kids run (i.e. 400 meter dash, or ½ mile), will receive a “Passport” and a sticker for that event to put in the passport. Any kid who participates in three or more events will receive a prize .. get more info or Sign up here.
