To the Olympics and Beyond
An evening with Lynn Jennings and Lisa Schlenker

Please join Portland Women's Rowing and Portland State University Campus Recreation for an evening of insight, inspiration, and celebration of outstanding women in sports!

October 4, Portland State University Smith Ballroom, 6:30 p.m. (5:30 p.m.
reception with the athletes)

Portland Olympians Lynn Jennings (1988, 1992, 1996 Olympian in Track and Field, and three-time World Cross Country Champion) and Lisa Schlenker (2004 Olympian in Rowing, and World record holder, 2000m indoor rowing) will reflect on the Olympic experience, training, motivation, the pursuit of excellence, and the pursuit of lifelong fitness. 

The evening will include video presentations of Jennings and Schlenker in Olympic and international competitions, as well as a moderated discussion with questions and answers from the audience. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on an impressive collection of athletic apparel/gear/services from Adidas, Asics, Lululemon, Acme Made, Keen, REI, Cloudveil, Polartec, Fit Right Northwest, Unwind Massage, and more. (A list of items to be auctioned will be posted at www.portlandwomensrowing.org by mid-September.)

A limited-admission reception with Jennings and Schlenker begins at 5:30 p.m. for reception ticket holders.

Funds raised will support Lisa Schlenker's training to represent the US in the Olympic Games in 2008 and Portland Women's Rowing.

Tickets:
$20 general admission
$10 student admission
$40 pre-event reception with the athletes at 5:30 p.m. (includes general admission).
