Oregon Road Runners Club
32nd Best Dam 10K Run & Walk

Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Estacada

The following information was for the 2014 Race. Although much of the information will be the same, please come back
at a later date for 2015 info or contact the race directors listed below.

Best Dam Run vs 36 Pit Fire!

We have received calls and concerns to see if the Best Dam Run is still scheduled in light of the 36 Pit Fire currently burning near Estacada, and the resulting air quality concerns. All of us at ORRC have the same concerns. We will continue to monitor the situation with the proper authorities throughout this week and into next week.

There is currently no fire damage on the course. With more resources being brought into the area to fight the spreading fire, it is impossible to predict its eventual end. However, at this time, the 31st Best Dam Run is still scheduled for Saturday 9/27/14.

Changes and updates regarding the fire’s effect on the Best Dam Run, including any possible changes to the race route, will be posted on the BDR Facebook page and on this page as they are made known.  The race organizers are in contact with the City of Estacada and are following information posted on the Mt. Hood National Forest incident page.
