anniversary Best Dam Run & Walk
Saturday, September 24, 2005 in Estacada
A 10K (6.2mile) run & walk along a gentle stretch of
the scenic and wild Clackamas River in the Cascade Mountain
foothills at Estacada. This year's race is part of Estacada's
Centennial Celebration. Come join in our once in a hundred
year event and party with the City.
WHEN
Be at Estacada City Hall by 8:30 for bus to start of
race that begins 9AM sharp.
WHERE
25 miles southeast of Portland. Take I-205 South from
Portland exiting on Highway 224 East at Clackamas. Follow
highway # 224 19 miles to Estacada. Look for the City
Hall on your left at the only stoplight in town. Check
in and registration is at City Hall, 475 SE Main & Highway
224.The race course begins on a private road on North
Fork Lake east of Estacada and follows the wild and
scenic river past several impondments to the finish
line back at City Hall.
The course is relatively flat with an elevation drop
from 800 to 400 feet above sea level. Expect fast times
and personal bests on this beautiful paved course.
REGISTER
Brochures will be available July 1, 2005 at Estacada
outlets and running stores, or register on line at signmeupsports
after July 1.

An ORRC sponsored event that also attracts co-sponsors
of local and running businesses. Race experts from the
ORRC partner with local clubs and volunteers to provide
a high quality and fun event. Call if you are interested

WHY
For fitness, fun, awards, recognition, and because
we want your help in building our new Wade Creek Library.
Proceeds benefit the ORRC, Estacada Development Assn
and the new library. Proceeds from last year's event
contributed over $1,000 to the library project that
is expected to break ground this fall.
