Garlic Festival 10K, 5K Run & Walk — Saturday, August 8, 2015

Celebrate the Elephant Garlic Festival on Saturday, August 8 with a 10K or 10K run/walk around the City of North Plains and the scenic roads of Washington County. After the race enjoy elephant garlic, custom-made socks and all that the festival has to offer!

10K and 5K both start at 8 a.m.

  • $20 for ORRC members
  • $25 for non-ORRC members
  • Special youth rate is $5 for 17 and under for runners and walkers
  • Day of race fee is $30 for all ($10 for youth) and regitration starts at 7 a.m.
  • All ORRC 10K Series participants are automatically registered

  • Online registration closes 48 hours before the race
  • By mail registration must be postmarked by August 2, 2015
Join the ORRC to save on entry fees, get the Oregon Distance Runner, group training runs, and other benefits.  Membership is $30 for individuals and $40 for families.

The 10K is a beautiful hilly loop around the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course.

This race is chip timed.  Results will be posted at and in the Oregon Distance Runner magazine.


  • Plaques to the fastest men and women in the open and masters divisions in the 5K and 10K.
  • Ribbons three deep in five-year age groups
  • Awards ceremony with random prize raffle after the races
  • Must be present to win as awards will not be mailed.

Waiver of Liability
Washington County requires each participant sign this waiver.
Please bring it with you on race day.

St. Edward's Catholic Church on the corner of NW 313th and NW Wascoe Street, adjacent to the start/finish.  Parking at the church is free until 10 a.m.  There is additional on street parking near the start, but be careful to park in areas that have not been blocked off for the Garlic Festival.


  • Pets are not allowed at the festival
  • Strollers are not allowed on the course
  • Roads are not closed to traffic during the races
  • For your safety, use of portable music devices is strongly discouraged
