10K

Run this ORRC 10K series event downhill on the scenic Wildwood Trail.

ORRC Wildwood Trail Trial is a unique race on trails in beautiful Forest Park, and is the last Great Summer 10K! Forest Park is the largest naturally forested urban USA park, with over 5,000 acres and 70+ miles of trails. WTT is a “cool” way to end the summer, and is a great way to help homeless or low income families through Human Solutions, Inc. & Snow-Cap Community Charities. Wildwood Trail was featured in the Sep 04 Runner’s World.

THE COURSE

Packed earth trail with many turns. Mostly good surface but with some rocks, roots, and occasional slugs. Registration and Start at the junction of the Wildwood Trail and Fire Lane 1, proceed south to Upper Macleay Park. A 650’ elevation loss in the first 5.7 miles and a 200’ climb in the last half mile. Note: this is not a closed course; expect to share the trail with other runners, families, walkers, and leashed dogs.

Walkers are welcome but will not have separate award categories.

REGISTRATION
2010 registration will be available at a later date.

Bring new school supplies on race morning and get a $1 refund (drop boxes at Start and Finish). Supplies donated to Snow-Cap Community Charities.

Too many run shirts?
Leave them in the drop boxes at Start and Finish for donation to charity.

CHARITIES YOU SUPPORT BY RUNNING
